What a find, gives Parks a run for the money, meat quality is excellent, service is top notch. Lively place, don't sleep on this one.

I live in San Fernando valley but me and my man go here whenever we crave KBBQ as the food and service are really good. The ambiance is not too loud and crowded so we always enjoy our experience.

One of my go to spots for kbbq in ktown. Feels authentic. The service is busy in a good way. Very impressive. They do all the cooking for you. It's Smokey indoors and you're gonna walk out smelling. But that's part of the vibe and experience. Good quality overall. No more ayce, but enjoy magal taste.

Located in a popular 8th Street shopping center in Koreatown Magal is a solid non-AYCE KBBQ restaurant. There is Valet parking in the rear which is a positive in the hard to park neighborhood. However, since there is a row of restaurants in the shopping center the lot fills up quickly. The menu promotes BBQ meat combos which include Banchans, corn, stews, and egg. We ordered the beef and pork combo 4 and there was plenty of food for four people. Service was good as they did the grilling. Magal is loud and is popular for young drinkers, coupled with the smokey atmosphere it's a very casual vibe. Lots of soju and beer flowing throughout.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ma Gal Korean BBQ, and it was an absolute delight. The quality of the food was top-notch, leaving me with a memorable dining experience. The meat practically melted in my mouth, a true testament to its tenderness and high quality. My personal favorites were the marinated short rib and the pork jowl, both of which were incredibly juicy. Our server was very attentive as well. Not only did they cook the meat for us, but they also took the time to match our pacing. I loved the fact that there was a small section on the grill to hold the meat, as it ensured our food stayed warm (without overcooking) since our party ate at a slower pace. It's these little touches that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I love that they have a great assortment of delicious banchan and sides. The rice paper was wonderfully fresh, and the kimchi provided the perfect balance of flavor without being overly spicy. We decided to try the Ma Gal small combo, which was a perfect size for our party of two. It had all of my favorite meats so it was a perfect variety. We also ventured to try the volcano rice. While the cooking experience itself was fun, the texture of the rice felt a bit mushy. Personally, I would only recommend ordering it for the sake of capturing impressive photos, but I wouldn't get it again. Overall, Ma Gal Korean BBQ has great meat quality, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere. Be sure to try their marinated short rib and pork jowl for an absolute flavor explosion. You won't be disappointed!

Good portion and friendly service! The meat quality was good and it was enough to share with 3 friends, we also ordered a cold noodle and beef tongue and we were STUFFED! Compared to the meat combo quality, the beef tongue was on the not-impressed side.... The beef sushi was Delicious and highly recommended!

I've been to a few Korean BBQ places in my life but this experience was a bit different. Our server cooked and cut most of our food perfectly for us. The meat quality here was wonderful, so tender. Pretty flavorful as well. Staff was nice for the most part but whenever we asked for anything, they seemed like they were bothered by us. Weren't the most friendliest of people.
